Description

The Black Scorpion Gear competition single/double-stack magazine pouch is the most popular competition pouch on the market. Left and right-handed competitors can use this magazine pouch as a single or double stack. The magazine pouch will ship with a double stack configuration and right-handed, but we will include the necessary hardware to convert the pouch to a single stack.

The magazine pouch allows you to adjust magazine retention by turning the knob located on the top right portion of the pouch. The belt attachment is 1 1/2'' and can be added to your competition belt by using a 2 mm hex key. Angle and pivot settings can be adjusted by using a 5 mm hex key.

Note: When converting to a left-handed setup, you will not be able to install the front face cover.

Description

The Black Scorpion Gear competition magnetic magazine holder was specially created for top performance in stages where magazines are placed in different locations to begin the exercise with an unloaded weapon. Left and right-handed competitors can take advantage of this magnetic magazine holster since it can also be used when the shooter must load the pistol and place an additional magazine on the belt for reload to complete the stage.

This magnetic pouch will shave off those extra seconds by allowing the shooter to grab and go without having to look at the position that the magazine was placed in. The 42 mm N52 magnet is able to hold more than 30 lbs and will not stop the shooter from easily drawing the magazine.

    Big upgrade over entry level stuff

    After 2 1/2 years of shooting USPSA, I decided to upgrade my belt rig. There are a TON of magazine pouch options out there, but I've read good things about BSG, and was already getting a BSG holster, so I figured I'd give these a shot. These are a huge improvement over my previous mag pouches. These are fully adjustable with 360 degree rotation, as well as tilt side to side, or top to bottom. You can get your mags exactly where you want them and exactly at the angle and rotation that you want.

    However, because of the design, there is only a single 5mm bolt holding the mag pouch to the belt attachment. That bolt is in the middle of the "ball" joint. This makes all that positioning great, but also means that if that one bolt comes loose, your mags will suddenly rotate to the heaviest side which typically means they will be upside down and likely fall out of the mag pouch.... ask me how I know. I went back and put a liberal amount of blue thread locker on that bolt, as well as the other various screws and retightened everything as much as I felt comfortable doing without risking overtightening and breaking the plastic. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.

    The magnet is noticeably different. It is s ingle piece that just slides onto the belt with no front/back piece to tighten together and lock onto the belt like the magazine pouches. Though they did include some velcro for the back of the magnet to help hold it in place on the belt. I also had to use more thread locker on the magnet as it also came loose during a competition.

    Aside from the need to use thread locker (not included) on all the screws/bolts, these mag pouches and magnet seem like a good quality choice over many other competition options out there.
