Belt Sizing: Tactical Gun Belt

The belt comes 48'' long and you cut it to your size once, at the buckle end. Measure twice, cut once: you can always take off more, but you can't put it back.

  1. Find your cut length. Take your pant size and add 4'' if you carry outside the waistband (like the Pro IDPA Competition Rig), or 6'' if you carry inside the waistband. Example: 34'' pants, outside the waistband, cut length 38''.
  2. Mark the belt. Lay the belt flat. Measure from the tip (the end without the buckle) and mark your cut length. Measure again before you cut. If your cut length comes close to the full 48'', don't cut yet: try the belt on first.
  3. Take off the buckle. With the included 2mm Allen key, loosen the two screws on the buckle. Raise the clasp on the bottom of the buckle and slide the belt out.
  4. Cut. Cut straight across at your mark with sharp scissors or a knife.
  5. Put the buckle back on. Insert the cut end into the buckle, press the clasp down firmly so its teeth grip the belt, then tighten both screws with the 2mm Allen key until snug. Don't overtighten, or the screws can strip.
  6. Try it on. Thread the tip through your pant loops and into the buckle, and click it until snug. The buckle adjusts in 1/4'' steps across 40 positions. The tip should reach about 3'' past your first belt loop. Still too long? Take the buckle off and trim a little at a time. Tuck the extra into the belt keeper.
