Free US shipping. Same-day dispatch before 2 PM EST.
A Champagne Series competition rig for the Beretta APX A1 Full Size, set up for IPSC and USPSA: a Pro Heavy Duty Competition Holster, a two-piece Pro Heavy Duty Belt, three ambidextrous mag pouches and a magnetic mag carrier. Right-hand draw only.
The champagne finish is on the holster's belt attachment and on the three mag pouch face plates.
What's included
- (1) Pro Heavy Duty Competition Holster for the Beretta APX A1 Full Size, in Black or Carbon Fiber (your pick), with a champagne finish belt attachment and an adjustment tool (3mm Allen and Phillips head)
- (1) Pro Heavy Duty Competition Belt: inner belt, outer belt and belt keeper
- (3) Ambidextrous Single/Double Stack Competition Magazine Pouches with champagne finish face plates, each with a bag of thinner spacers for single stack 1911 magazines
- (1) Universal Magnetic Magazine Carrier, 1.5'' Slot Mount, with an adhesive hook and loop patch
The belt and magnetic carrier come in black only.
Holster
A 0.08'' Kydex shell molded for the Beretta APX A1 Full Size. Optics ready. Two thumb screws on the shell set the retention by hand, no tools needed.
A spacer block on the back of the shell sets the holster's offset from your body and holds the belt attachment. Loosen the two 3mm Allen screws on the back of the belt attachment to set the ride height and angle, then tighten them again.
The aluminum belt attachment clamps onto the belt with two metal tabs. It fits 1.5'' belts at least 6mm thick, so it holds tight on the 9mm outer belt in this rig. The included tool covers every screw on the holster.
Belt
A two-piece hook and loop belt, 1.5'' wide. The 5mm inner belt stays in your pant loops. The 9mm outer belt carries your gear and locks onto the inner belt.
Belt sizes go by your waist measurement, not your pant size. Check the Size guide before you order.
Magazine pouches
Each pouch fits 9mm and .40 S&W double stack magazines, and .45 ACP single stack magazines with the included spacers. It has 360 degree cant and pivot, 2'' of ride height adjustment, and two screws to set how tightly it holds the magazine.
The pouches ship set up for double stack magazines. Single stack setup is covered in the Setup instructions.
Magnetic mag carrier
A 42mm N52 magnet with over 30 lbs of hold. The 7mm belt attachment is a tight fit on the 9mm outer belt on purpose, so the carrier stays put once it's on.
Made for IPSC and USPSA competition.
The holster, mag pouches and magnetic carrier are made in the USA. The belt is made in Taiwan.
Measure your waist where you'll wear the belt. Run a soft tape measure around your body over your pants, snug but not tight.
Add 9'' to that number. The extra 9'' is the overlap, where the outer belt's hook and loop grips the inner belt. With less than 9'' of contact the belt won't hold securely.
Pick the size whose overall length is equal to or just longer than your total. Example: a 36'' waist plus 9'' is 45'', so you need a Large (46.5'').
- Small: 38.5'' (97.8 cm) overall, fits a waist up to 29.5'' (75 cm)
- Medium: 43'' (109.2 cm) overall, fits a waist up to 34'' (86.4 cm)
- Large: 46.5'' (118.1 cm) overall, fits a waist up to 37.5'' (95.3 cm)
- X-Large: 50'' (127 cm) overall, fits a waist up to 41'' (104.1 cm)
- XX-Large: 54'' (137.2 cm) overall, fits a waist up to 45'' (114.3 cm)
Between two sizes? Go up. Extra overlap means more hook and loop contact, which holds better. A belt that's too short won't stay closed.
- Flip the inner belt. It ships inside out. Turn it so the fuzzy side faces out, then thread it through your pant loops. If the fuzzy side faces in, the outer belt has nothing to grip.
- Set up the mag pouches before they go on the belt. They ship set up for double stack magazines. For single stack 1911 magazines, take out the thumb screw (top right, by hand) and the retention screw (bottom left, 2mm Allen key), swap in the thinner spacers from the included bag, and put both screws back in.
- Mount the magnetic carrier first. Start at the tapered end of the outer belt. Press the carrier on and wiggle it side to side as you work it along the belt. The fit is tight on purpose so it won't move once it's in place. Then peel the backing off the hook and loop patch and stick it on the back of the carrier's belt attachment. The carrier has no screws to clamp it to the belt, so the patch grips the inner belt and holds it steady.
- Mount the mag pouches. Loosen the 5mm Allen screw on the pouch (it sets the ride height and angle) so you can reach the four 2mm screws on the belt attachment. Loosen the four 2mm screws to open up the attachment, fit it on the belt, and tighten them back down.
- Mount the holster. With the Phillips end of the included tool, take the two metal tabs off the holster's belt attachment. Place the attachment on the outer belt, put both tabs back on and tighten them so the attachment clamps the belt. The belt has to be at least 6mm thick for the attachment to hold without moving (the outer belt in this rig is 9mm).
- Layout. Put the holster on your right hip. Put the magnetic carrier up front on the left side, with the three mag pouches lined up behind it. Check your division's equipment rules before a match.
- Adjust the holster. With an unloaded pistol, loosen the two 3mm Allen screws on the back of the belt attachment (Allen end of the included tool), set the ride height and angle, and tighten them again. Then set the retention with the two thumb screws on the shell, by hand. Tighter holds the pistol more securely while you move. Looser lets it draw with less effort.
- Adjust the mag pouches. Set each pouch's angle and ride height, then tighten the 5mm screw. Then set how tightly each pouch holds the magazine with its two retention screws: turn the top thumb screw by hand, and the bottom screw with a 2mm Allen key.
- Lock the screws. Once everything is where you want it, put a drop of removable (medium strength) thread locker on the mag pouch screws and on the holster's screws: the two tab screws that clamp it to the belt, the two 3mm Allen screws that hold the ride height and angle, and the two Phillips screws that hold the spacer block to the shell. Don't use a permanent thread locker, because it can seize the screws so they won't come out. Check every screw before you shoot.
- Put it on. Wrap the outer belt over the inner belt and press it down so the hook and loop lock together. Close the end with the belt keeper.
Tools
The holster comes with its own tool, with a 3mm Allen head and a Phillips head. It covers every screw on the holster.
For the mag pouches you'll need (not included):
- 5mm Allen key: angle and ride height screw
- 2mm Allen key: belt attachment screws and bottom retention screw
- Removable (medium strength) thread locker, for the pouches and the holster
